Social Responsibility Football or SR-Football should be a top priority at PFF. We must not forget our less fortunate brothers and sisters. Let us look into all possible ways to bring football to them. There are good signs everywhere: Gawad Kalinga, Tuloy Sa Don Bosco, Dapitan FC, BoysTown, DSWD Nayon Ng Kabataan, Futkal, Philippine Christian Foundation in Smokey Mountain and many more all across the nation. This is SR-Football in action.

We need a serious program to maintain our national teams and for this, we need money. We need our teams to be training all year round. The problem is that it’s not easy to do. We need to create a program that will enable us to give the players a salary and give out sports scholarships. It's almost like maintaining a professional club.

In every festival or tournament, let us make it a point to put up a tent that accepts donations of football equipment. The donations could be spikes, shin guards, etc.

These items can then be sent to various Football Outreach Programs and Clubs who are in need of equipment. And we can even do this at an international level. Our Filipino brothers abroad can send in their donations as well.

As far as football is concerned, I think that we need to go beyond the football field and go into seminar halls. Sports marketing seminars and lectures will go a long way to help us to popularize the sport. Currently, we have courses and seminars on refereeing, coaching, and just about anything game-related. We need a bit of a shift in thinking here. Marketing seminars will go a long way in helping us meet our goals.

Green Goal is a program that helps preserve the environment’s well-being. We must always put into consideration what is best for Mother Nature. This is a program that I want all member associations of the PFF to be involved in. All projects, plans, products should be conscious about the environment and should promote Green Goal awareness. We should always promote cleanliness and earth-friendliness in our PFF.

For the Good of Football

Heavenly Father,

Help us to work together in this game that we love,
Direct us to form young men and women
of good moral character and integrity,
Guide us to be charitable
to the needs of the poor and the homeless,
Instill in our Families and our Communities
the values of fairplay and justice,
May we always remember,
that in all our efforts to develop the game,
We will offer it up, for your Goodness.
And may the good we do for football,
always lead us to your Goodness.

Amen
