The SOS Children's Village sponsored a 7 a-side festival on 27 August 2007 at the Tionko field to commemorate the celebration of children's month and at the same time promote the SOS concept to the participants. Present during the games are SOS Village director Luis Seras, Davao FA president Gerry Romero-Salas, Davao FA gensec Erwin Protacio. Also in attendance are Councilor Mabel Acosta, Bantay Bata's Ella Abad-Tan, 25th Infantry Battalion Commander Maj. Roland Rodil, and Philippine Football Federation presidential candidate Ed Formoso. Director Luis Seras promised to make this an activity and vowed to suport similar undertaking to promote the children's welfare. Tomas Monteverde ES, Montserrat Camp School, Navarro National High School, Davao City National High School, Catalunan Grande ES, Philippine Women's Collge of Davao, Sea Gull FC, South Point School, D' Davao Survivors, Davao United FC, SOS Children's Village and UP Mindanao. Teams from Compostela Valley include - Cabuyoan ES, Maubog ES, Pangibiran ES, Ayan ES, and Maco FC. Sponsors are 90.7 Love Radio DXBM, the City Mayor's Office, and Al's Diner. |
